Prehistoric Paintings Discovered on Sidewalk

Recently,  I came upon  an interesting discovery here in San Miguel de Allende.   I was stopped on my tracks by what appeared to be   prehistoric    paintings created  by an ancient civilization.  Perhaps one can classify these unusual renderings as Parietal Art ...the archaeological term given to prehistoric art found in caves or on large blocks of stone.

These remarkable  paintings were inscribed  on  a concrete sidewalk.  A sidewalk  leading to a local shopping center on the outskirts of town. The primary symbol....a primitive interpretation of the human form.... appeared to have served as guide  as if to direct human foot traffic.
Perhaps the National Geographic Society will follow-up on this new finding.
